This option, only available with an instrument purchase, includes redoing all the bars with new felt. This is most applicable to rearranging chord bars on a Chromaharp 21 bar but may be used to ensure greater felting integrity on any instrument. This option would put the chord bars on par with any luthier instrument or be comparable to refurbished bars.
Professional grade zither wrench with machined, STAR socket that precisely and securely fits the tuning pins, both domestic and imported (size #4 Robinson's), except for the latest Korean instruments with the thicker and longer pins. Lacquered, oak handle.
All the parts needed to change an instrument to the Oscar Schmidt 21 chord system. See the other item for the version with uncut felt. This version has notched felt, ready to play. Only buttons for standard chords are currently available. Fully upgraded with the felt redone, lighter and shorter springs, and chord cover...
This wrench is machined rather than cheaply cast and fits standard autoharp/zither/harpsichord tuning pins (.198 inch thread diameter) precisely, given Robinson's #4 tips (.187 max). It is recommended for an instrument without fine tuners or for a person who otherwise needs the extra leverage of the long hande.
Bars are felted all across in one piece but uncut for chords, and buttons are not labeled or yet glued to the bars. Use for custom configurations or spare parts. Color black. Holders fit imports only, otherwise needing a 1/8" spacer to raise the bars away from the strings.
