The exact specifications for string sets have changed over the years. There is also variation among sets for various models. Model A and Chromaharp are slightly lighter than model B. Best to inquire with an autoharp expert if any question. The following is the specification for the current model B set as made for Autoharp Works by Fladmark Strings:

# NOTE Dia.
F 0.089
G 0.077
C 0.064
D 0.057
E 0.050
F 0.047
F# 0.045
G 0.043
A 0.038
Bb 0.037
B 0.035
C 0.033
C# 0.031
D 0.029
D# 0.026
E 0.026
F 0.026
F# 0.024
G 0.024
G# 0.024
A 0.022
Bb 0.022
B 0.022
C 0.020
C# 0.020
D 0.019
D# 0.018
E 0.018
F 0.018
F# 0.017
G 0.016
G# 0.016
A 0.016
Bb 0.015
B 0.015
C 0.014

Strings 1-14 are over wound, 15-36 plain wire.

Note that this list is NOT for use in substituting the closest guitar string. One should only use genuine autoharp strings. Windings of bass strings should not contact the bridges, and plain wire ball knots should not contact a bridge. Only special autoharp strings will satisfy those rules.
